Mary Barneby is Executive Director and Branch Manager of the UBS Hartford, CT office where she supervises the efforts of 20 Financial Advisors engaged in delivering the firm’s wealth management capabilities to high net worth individuals and institutional clients. Since joining UBS in 2002, she has served as the Eastern Divisional Sales Manager, as well as Sales Manager for the Firm’s Park Avenue, New York office. UBS Wealth Management-USA is an affiliated company of UBS, the world’s largest private bank and a leading global investment banking and securities business.
Prior to joining UBS, Mary was CEO of Vanteq, Inc. a start up consumer financial services firm, and also served as President of Retail Investor Services from 1996 to 2000 at Delaware Investments, a $100 billion money management concern. Mary began her financial services career in 1974 at Merrill Lynch and has held senior level positions there, as well as at Dreyfus Funds, UAM and the Equitable.
Mary is a graduate of New York University and holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Fordham University. She completed her Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation at the Wharton School in 2003. She has served as both a Director and the President of the Financial Women’s Association of New York, a professional organization with more than 1200 members. She is a former director of the Investment Management Consultants’ Association (IMCA) and an instructor at their CIMA program. She currently serves as a Director of Interval House, a domestic violence agency and Theaterworks, both in Hartford, CT. Mary is married to T. Kirkham Barneby, a portfolio manager.
